Path of Exile Beginner Crafting Guide

I’m going to teach you how to craft in Path of Exile. Crafting is a way for you to make your own items and customize them so that they are more suited for your play style or character build. It’s also a good idea if you want to save money on buying the items from other players as it can be very expensive. To buy poe currency visit cnlgaming.gg

First, let me tell you about what crafting materials there are and their different qualities: You’ll need an item with sockets, base type (e.g., armor), affixes, and colors that match those of the desired crafted item; The next thing you will need is a recipe scroll which tells what type of items to put together using the required crafting material types; Once all these components have been gathered, you can begin crafting your item. The different types of crafts and what they do?

Item Craft And Socket Types

Weapons come with sockets that can have either Links, Colors, or Sockets. You can customize your weapon by adding one of these types to it. A Link is a place where gems will be inserted which provide special abilities and effects when activated. An example might be a fireball spell gem in a flame-colored linked socket.

A Color is a place where gems will be inserted which provide basic stat boosts. An example might be a strength aura gem in a red-colored socket.

A Socket is just an empty place to allow for later customization by adding either Gems or Sockets to it. If you have no intention of customizing your weapon, then this type of craft is probably the best choice.

Armor comes with sockets that can have Links or Sockets, but not Colors. You can customize your armor by adding one of these types to it. A Link is a place where gems will be inserted which provide special abilities and effects when activated. An example might be a fireball spell gem in a flame-colored linked socket.

A Socket is just an empty place to allow for later customization by adding either Gems or Sockets to it. If you have no intention of customizing your armor, then this type of craft is probably the best choice.

Jewel Crafts

You can put gems in Jewel sockets on most items that provide basic stat boosts and even act like passive skills. Remember, you get more stat boosts if there are more jewels in the sockets.

Currency Crafts

This is the only craft that you can’t do yourself! You must sell items to an NPC (or player) to learn the recipes which allow for crafting currency. There are 8 different types of currencies and each one starts with a different letter. You can view the names of these currencies by opening up your inventory and looking at the lower right-hand corner where all of your armor, weapon, and accessory slots are located. If you click on any of the currency slots, it will show the name for that currency.

What are recipes?

Recipes create items from other items that are linked together or match each other based on color. For example, if I want to make a blue leather chest armor with 3 linked sockets, then I would need to craft using items that have blue sockets, are types of armor, come with 3 linked sockets, and have a color match to blue. When you begin crafting, certain recipes will be shown by default. Just click on the slots that correspond to the item type and item level to learn more about which items can potentially be crafted at any given time.
